Biography

           Born June 1, 1969 in Greenville, NC and moved to Charlotte in 1974.

        Attended Independence High School, graduated class of '87.

        Joined the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 1st Calvary Division at Fort

        Hood, Texas.

Served in Desert Storm with the

3/82 Field Artillery from October

1990 to April 1991.

 Honorably discharged in September

1991 after earning multiple medals

and ribbons for his service.

           

          

Married Marceline Pou on June 26, 1993.

After graduating from UNCC, entered the

Charlotte- Mecklenburg Police Academy

in the 118th Class beginning January 1995.

Upon graduating from the Academy, was

assigned to the Baker 1 (now Providence)

division. During his work in patrol, John

has earned 8 commendations for his work

including the Medal of Bravery for an

arrest he made following an armed robbery.
